Photos on the Prairie

Moving to our ranch near Highmore, SD in 2023 inspired me to take up a long-enjoyed hobby of photography. As a contemplative practice, I often walk our gravel road, where I am grounded in gratitude and awe among God’s stunning creation. Despite a desire to “unplug” on my walks, I quickly realized this is where God’s beauty is on full display. So at times I grab my phone to catch a sunrise or sunset, a playful moments with kids, or the curious faces of animals at watch. I keep collecting these snapshots because they offer me peace, hope, and joy. Each of these six collections include several of my favorite scenes. I invite you to peruse at your leisure.
